Frequently Asked Questions

Q> What is Cubicle 101?

A> Cubicle 101 is a webcomic based roughly on the work and personal lives of a group of technical support agents working in the upper levels of a corporate communications conglomerate.

Q> Who are the characters and who are they based on?

A> The characters are roughly based on myself and a group I worked with for over 6 years in the technical support arena. The characters in the comic have grown into their own personalities over the years but are still rooted in the personalities of my good freinds.

Q> Why did you decide to make a comic about it?

A> In this day and age, technology is everywhere. The only problem is that most people don't understand the technology, or worse they have no business owning certain technologies. With that said, one can imagine just how humorous some support calls can be, (ex "what's a start button?").

The comic was a great way for myself and my coworkers to blow off some steam without inflicting physical harm on anyone (which was a hard thing NOT to do) and get a good laugh out of it as well.

Q> How long has the comic been around?

A> I started the comic way back in 2000.

Q> How long have you been drawing?

A> Since I could hold a crayon. That is to say a VERY long time (no, I will not tell you how old I am).

Q> What is a "cubicle monkey"?

A> If you're sitting in a cubicle, YOU are a cubicle monkey.

Q> Is Cubicle101 your job?

A> No, the comic is something I do for the enjoyment of myself and others who have been following the comic since it began. I feel an obligation to my fans to keep the comic online and updated as much as possible.

Q> I have an idea for a story, will you use it?

A> As long it's not stupid, anything is possible.
